Happy Sunday from My Mama's Front Porch
Remember to sign up for Bushes Afire and join our weekly writerly community.
Here’s a little hello from me to you on this beautiful Sunday morning, and a reminder to sign up for my weekly newsletter, Bushes Afire. A new piece comes out every Wednesday. This week is all about what it’s like returning to the university classroom in a post-Covid world, and what the pandemic seems to have meant for students, teachers and learning communities.
Spring is coming, ya’ll. I can smell it. And taste it. And hear it. Spring is my mama’s back porch, scratch buttermilk biscuits, the smell of freshly cut grass and Easter eggs. I’m ready. Grateful to not be digging out from under a foot of snow this March, literally and spiritually. Have a wonderful week, my loves. It’s a new month and a new season awaits us. Easter teaches us that all things are possible in this life.
PS I can hear my Nana singing He Leadeth Me, next door, as she watches her Sunday morning church shows. Nothing like it, folks.
